In Isaiah 35:8 we read: "And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but is shall be for the redeemed: the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err therein." The time of the Messiah would usher in a way of holiness. We sing a song, "More Holiness Give Me." Here is another one of those songs that we really need to pay attention to when we sing. Holiness is the quality of being set apart or different from the worldly standards around us. Holiness also implies a purity and devotion that is found in those who are spiritual. In this song we sing to have more holiness in our lives. In essence we are saying, "Give me more holiness." Why ought we to desire more holiness? More holiness give me because 1) I want to be like God, 2) I want to be pure, 3) I want to go to heaven. The objective of this sermon is to motivate us to desire to live holy lives.
