The Psalmist prophesied that Jesus hands and feet would be pierced (Psalm 22). Those hands were wounded for our transgressions (Isaiah 53). We have a song titled, "The Hand That Was Wounded." Taking the thoughts of that song we taught that the hand that was wounded 1) Brought compassion, mercy, and forgiveness, 2) Bled for the sins of the world, 3) Broke the bondage of sin, 4) Binds us together in brotherhood. In studying these things I hope that each would appreciate what Jesus accomplished for us with his hands.
