We must enter in by the narrow way that leads to life. The wide way leads to destruction. False prophets will deceive us out of the narrow way and into the wide way. They come in disguise in sheep's clothing, but they are actually wolves who want to devour. Jesus tells us how we can know false prophets, namely, by their fruit. What are the dangers of listening to false prophets? 1) Diversion, 2) Division, 3) Damnation. We study this so that we would be keenly aware that God expects us to believe and obey the truth and that to be lead astray by false teachers is serious business.
