The Christian and Politics In order for a society to live in peace, some form of government is necessary. With government also comes politics. If the Christian is involved in politics, what is his role to be? How ought he to be involved? The Christian's involvement in politics must be 1) peaceful, lawful, and honorable 2) respectful of other people's opinions, 3) Concerned for promoting righteousness. The Christian should understand the biblical principles involved in his involvement in politics. The Christian ought to exercise his civil rights in a way that would promote righteousness in our nation.
